Have you seen Michael Moore's latest?

This Saturday, MoveOn members are gathering at movie parties to watch Michael Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story and discuss how we can stop big corporations from taking over our democracy. There's a movie party in Brooklyn. Can you make it?

Dear MoveOn Member,

After a 30-year campaign, the Right Wing has captured the Supreme Court. As a result, five conservative Republican appointees have opened the floodgates for corporations to spend unlimited amounts of money on elections.

We barely eked out a victory over corporate special interests on health care reform. And by making big corporations even more powerful, the Supreme Court's decision will make it much harder for progressives to win in the future. We need to fight back now.

This weekend, thousands of us are getting together to watch Capitalism: A Love Story, Michael Moore's documentary about the financial crisis. And just as important, we're going to launch our next huge fight: taking on big corporations' influence in Washington (a goal the health care battle showed is more urgent than ever).

Can you join other MoveOn members for the movie party in Brooklyn on Saturday? Here are the details of the party closest to you:

Host: Carol D—fellow MoveOn member

Capitalism: A Love Story was one of the best—and most important—movies to come out last year. The film shined a bright spotlight on the abuses on Wall Street and failures in Washington that brought our economy to the brink.

The movie is more relevant than ever after the Supreme Court repealed all limits on political spending by giant corporations. Corporations like Goldman-Sachs and ExxonMobil can spend any amount of money this November to defeat candidates they don't like.

The movie parties give us a chance to discuss the plan to stop the corporate takeover of democracy, and as a bonus, you'll meet progressives in your area and make some great new friends! We hope you can join us. Click here to RSVP:
