Shame

We've got to stop Republicans from destroying the American Dream, in Wisconsin and around the country. So we're gathering coast-to-coast this Tuesday after work at events to "Defend the Dream"—and we still need a host in Inwood. Can you sign up today?

Dear MoveOn member,

Last night, Wisconsin Republicans rammed through their attack on workers' rights in a shameful—and probably illegal—power grab.1

Wisconsin progressives surrounded the capital last night and are mounting more protests today. To support them—and to oppose Republicans in Congress who are pushing similar attacks on all of our communities—we've launched a huge "Defend the Dream" day of action next Tuesday.

Hundreds of events are already planned—but there isn't one yet in Inwood. Can you sign up today to host an event?

At state capitols, parks, schools, libraries, and other public institutions that face huge funding cuts in the GOP budget, we'll gather to hear from people who will be most affected, like teachers and firefighters, and show our solidarity against these devastating cuts and attacks on workers' rights.

Help make sure people in Inwood have a way to take part in the Defend the Dream day of action on Tuesday: Sign up today to host an event. Just click here to get started:

Never hosted before? No worries—it's simple, fun, and we'll make sure you have everything you need, from a step-by-step guide to sample materials. Just pick a location—somewhere that will be affected by the Republicans' vicious budget cuts and attacks on workers: in front of a school, park, library, hospital, daycare center, or your state capitol. We'll make sure you're set with all the tools you need to do the rest.

Republicans in Idaho and Ohio have already voted for similar anti-worker bills like the one in Wisconsin.2 And nationally, the GOP budget would gut health care, environmental protections, housing assistance, food aid, and more. It's insane—and a direct assault on the American Dream.3

We need to take our cues from the brave people in Madison and stand up next Tuesday to say "No More!"

Inwood is counting on you—can you organize an event after work next week? Just click the link below to sign up:

Thanks for all you do.
