Make a difference this election: Call voters from home!

Republicans are on the verge of taking over the U.S. Senate and to stop them, we have to turn out progressive voters in key states on Election Day. That's why we've got a plan to make 5 million calls in the next seven weeks to make sure they show up and vote. If we're going to save the Senate, our calling program has to get off to a strong start. Can you join our first Voters Rising call shift this Tuesday?

Yes, I'll Call from Home!

Dear MoveOn member,

All systems are tested and ready to go. It's time to kick off our 2014 Voters Rising program this Tuesday night.

Our goal is to make 5 million calls to progressive voters by Election Day—are you in?

MoveOn members' top priority this election is saving the Senate from a Republican takeover this fall, and to do it, we're making more than 5 million calls to progressive voters who otherwise might stay home on Election Day.

We've got offices in key cities, we'll be organizing call parties in just a few weeks, and right now, we're kicking off our call-from-home initiative to connect MoveOn members directly to the voters who need to hear from us most.

It's all part of our Voters Rising program to show that in our great democracy, having people power on our side is still greater than having big money on theirs.

You've picked up the phone for MoveOn before—either to call a fellow member, share an opinion with your member of Congress, or to get out the vote—and that's why we're hoping that you can join one of this Tuesday's call-from-home shifts.

Will you make calls to key voters this Tuesday and help launch this year's Voters Rising program?

If Democrats lose control of the Senate this November and Mitch McConnell wins his race, he'll ascend to the position of Senate Majority Leader—giving him control over the Senate's legislative agenda and immense power to shape the political environment.

But this future isn't written. If the same voters who showed up in 2012 show up to vote this November, we will save the Senate. It's up to us to let them know what's in store if they don't get out to the polls:

  • Repeated government shutdowns led by McConnell to force President Obama to "move to the center," which is fancy Washington talk for cutting Social Security and handing over more corporate tax breaks.1

  • Underhanded schemes to slash funding for enforcement of our clean air and water laws, keeping our food safe, and protecting our public schools for all children.2

  • More pointless and wasteful schemes like Speaker John Boehner's lawsuit against President Obama if Republicans control all of Congress.

Our plan could make the difference this fall—but we only have seven weeks to make 5 million calls to progressive voters. Are you in?

Yes, I'll call from home this Tuesday.

Saving the Senate won't be easy, but with 8 million MoveOn members championing a government of, by, and for the people, we can go toe-to-toe with big money—and win.

Thanks for all you do.
