RSVP for Elizabeth Warren conference call?

Elizabeth Warren wants to talk to you this Thursday night. Polls have tightened as we head into the final eight days before the election, and Sen. Warren has a message about what each of us can—and must—do to contribute to victory on November 8.

Dear MoveOn member,

Elizabeth Warren wants to talk to you this Thursday night. Polls have tightened as we head into the final eight days before the election, and Sen. Warren has a message about what each of us can—and must—do to contribute to victory on November 8.

Can you join a live phone call with Senator Warren to hear her take on the state of the race, learn the most important ways you can join MoveOn's voter turnout efforts—and kick off the final sprint to Election Day?

Just click here to RSVP for this special call with Elizabeth Warren just for MoveOn members, scheduled for this Thursday, November 3 at 8 p.m. Eastern / 7 p.m. Central / 6 p.m. Mountain / 5 p.m. Pacific Time.

The stakes couldn't be higher this election. And Senator Warren, who's been criss-crossing the country to defeat Trump and win back the Senate, knows as well as anyone exactly what we have to do to make history on November 8. There's no better way to get an infusion of get-out-the-vote energy than hearing from Elizabeth Warren directly.

Can you join Thursday's call at 8 p.m. Eastern / 7 p.m. Central / 6 p.m. Mountain / 5 p.m. Pacific Time? RSVP here and we'll dial your number automatically to loop you in as the call begins:

I can join the call with Senator Warren this Thursday!

This election could be an incredible opportunity to move a progressive agenda forward, but as the sudden shift in polls reminds us, nothing is certain and we can't be complacent. There's just one question now: Will we show up?

Here's the heart of our final-sprint plan:

  • Knocking on hundreds of thousands of doors of key progressive voters in the eight most important swing states, to make sure they turn out for Hillary Clinton—and a Democratic Senate. This means filling tens of thousands of volunteer shifts in these last few days!
  • Calling hundreds of thousands of voters from home with our cutting-edge call tool and making sure they have a plan to vote.
  • Texting thousands of volunteers to recruit them for volunteer canvassing and calling shifts and to get on buses headed for critical swing states.

On top of that, we'll be fighting to protect the integrity of the democratic process, with a rapid-response election protection team; sharing unforgettable videos and ads, like our new PSA with artist Alicia Keys; and even helping MoveOn members talk to their undecided friends via social media using our buzzed-about "SwingVoterGO" election game.

What a road we've traveled to get here! Just under two years ago, MoveOn launched its campaign to draft Elizabeth Warren for president. Early this year, MoveOn members voted to endorse Bernie Sanders. And by the convention this summer, Hillary Clinton—our nominee—had made many of Warren's and Sanders' ideas the centerpiece of her platform.

Today, Warren, Sanders, and MoveOn members are all fighting shoulder to shoulder with Clinton to stop Trump and make that platform a reality.

All in all, it's MoveOn's biggest effort in a decade. But it works only if members like you join the fight in this critical final stretch. That's why this call with Elizabeth Warren is so crucial—to lay out the battle plan and send us to the front lines.

Can you join this Thursday's call with Elizabeth Warren?

Yes, I'll join the call!

This election will be written about for decades to come. If we do our jobs between now and the evening of November 8, it will go down as a moment when the good sense, civility, and shared values of a majority of Americans led to the rejection of racism, misogyny, Islamophobia, xenophobia, hatred, and authoritarianism—by a presidential candidate and his enablers.

That story is important. It will help define who we are as a nation. But it will come true only if we make it true. Now's the time.

Thanks for all you do,

–Ilya, Anna, Victoria, Matt, and the rest of the team

An urgent request (We need you on a bus, Eddie!)

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are nearly tied. Election Day turnout will be critical. That means only one thing ...

Dear New York MoveOn member,

With only nine days to go until Election Day, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are nearly tied.1

That means turnout will be absolutely critical and every vote will count. So here's what we need you to do: take a free road trip from New York to Pennsylvania, a must-win swing state, to help get out the vote!

Ready to sign up? Click here now.

Yesterday, hundreds of fellow MoveOn members boarded MoveOn buses bound for cities like Reno, Nevada; Manchester, New Hampshire; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Toledo, Ohio.

Like progressive forces of nature, they rolled in, rolled up their sleeves, and joined fellow MoveOn members on the ground—sometimes doubling, sometimes tripling, sometimes quadrupling the day's on-the-ground organizing to defeat Donald Trump and elect Hillary Clinton. That's a game-changing amount of work. And we need more of it.

With Clinton's lead shrinking, every voter we talk with could be the difference.

Will you get on a free MoveOn bus to Pennsylvania for a day of get-out-the-vote canvassing?

You can sign up here right now (and you can sign up your family and friends, too!):

Road trip to Pennsylvania

Here's the bottom line: We need folks like you who live in "safe states" to lend your organizing muscle for a fun and effective day of door-to-door canvassing in a must-win state like Pennsylvania. You'll be talking with progressive voters who might not vote without your encouragement.

We can have the biggest voter contact impact in the 72 hours before Election Day. That's why, between November 5 and November 8, we plan to more than double the number of buses we ran yesterday.

To do that, we need only one thing, and we need it right now: YOU!

Ready for a road trip to Pennsylvania on a free MoveOn bus? Ready for a fun day of get-out-the-vote canvassing with fellow MoveOn members, at a time when it matters most?

  • You'll get a brief orientation and then hit the streets.

FW: Please, don't delete

Everything has changed. Hillary is now a strong favorite. And Trump's implosion has created an opportunity for Democrats.

Hi Eddie—I just wanted to make sure you saw my important message from the other day.

Dear MoveOn member,

This is Senator Elizabeth Warren, and I'd like to ask for a minute of your time to read this very important email.

Before the presidential debates, the presidential election was almost neck and neck.1 Many considered the Democrats real underdogs to win control of the Senate.2

Now, everything has changed.

After the debates, though we can't get complacent, Hillary is now a strong favorite. And Trump's implosion has created an opportunity for Democrats to not only take back the Senate, but possibly win with a 53- or 54-seat majority—which would be powerfully important for our ability to implement the progressive agenda we all support.3

That's why, when my friends at MoveOn asked me to help them expand their get-out-the-vote operation to take back the Senate, I immediately said yes.

So here's the deal: To make it all possible, MoveOn needs to raise $330,000. Will you chip in $3 to help out?

Yes, I’ll chip in $3 to help MoveOn stop Trump and take back the Senate.

My friends at MoveOn have spent months building the most effective and sophisticated get-out-the-vote operation possible to beat Donald Trump, and it’s incredible.

Here are just a few of the high points (I couldn’t possibly list everything they’re doing in one email!):

  • Busing thousands of MoveOn members from "safe states" into key swing states across the country to talk to voters one-on-one about voting for Hillary Clinton and progressive Democrats running for the Senate.
  • Going door-to-door to turn out voters in key Senate battleground states that polls say are currently within the margin of error, including North Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania.
  • Running video ads on social media strategically targeted at first-time voters and supporters of Bernie Sanders who might still be thinking about staying home this year.
  • Ensuring that voting is conducted fairly by making sure voters know their rights, recruiting lawyers to monitor polling locations around the country, and being prepared to respond to voter intimidation or voting irregularities.

This is the kind of work that will give Democrats control of the Senate—but to have the resources to get it done, MoveOn needs to hit their $330,000 goal. Will you chip in $3?

Yes, I'll chip in $3.

Thanks for all you do.

—Senator Elizabeth Warren

Bring this home

Will you start on the MoveOn Text Team by taking the training and signing up for a shift?

Dear Eddie,

Thanks so much for taking the first step in joining the MoveOn Text Team! We have just ten days left to text other MoveOn members and invite them to go door-knocking or make calls to speak with voters about why they should vote against Donald Trump—and for Hillary Clinton.

This kind of person-to-person contact is THE single most effective way to get out the progressive vote—and bury Trump in a landslide that the Republican Party remembers for years. And with polls tightening, this work is more critical than ever.

Will you take the final step and finish our Text Team training, then sign up for a shift right away?

Text Team members have contacted more than 400,000 fellow MoveOn members so far—and we’re already recruiting for a canvassing blitz the last weekend before the election, getting members to call swing state voters, and even recruiting members to road trip to battleground states.

The Text Team has turned out to be one of our best resources for getting our members out to events—but we only have two more weekends to knock on hundreds of thousands of doors! A little bit of your time can help us hit our most ambitious voter contact goals ever.

Click here to wrap up the quick Text Team training and sign up for a shift this weekend.

Donald Trump’s latest conspiracy theory centers on a nationwide vote rigging scheme against him. Back in the real world, the actual roadblocks to participation in our elections are the kinds of racist voter ID laws passed by Republicans in places like North Carolina ... and in Indiana under Governor Mike Pence! The most recent polls show the race tightening again—but we can't let these hypocrites make it to the White House.1

Let’s bring this home. Let's elect Hillary Clinton as president, and win a Democratic Senate with Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren in leadership positions to champion the progressive vision MoveOn members fight for every day.

Will you finish the next step today?

Thanks for all you do.

Add your name: Stop the Dakota Access Pipeline once and for all

Yesterday, militarized law enforcement agencies moved in with tanks and riot gear on water protectors who stand in opposition to the Dakota Access Pipeline. Add your name to demand an end to this pipeline project.

Yesterday, militarized law enforcement agencies moved in with tanks and riot gear on water protectors who stand in opposition to the Dakota Access Pipeline—a massive pipeline project that would cut through four states, impact the water to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, and violate sacred sites and ancient grounds. While native elders prayed in peace, they were attacked with pepper spray, rubber bullets, as well as sound and concussion cannons. By the end of the day, more than 140 people were arrested.1 Please, add your name and demand that President Obama reject this pipeline once and for all.

Dear MoveOn member,

My name is David Archambault II, and I'm the chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, which has long opposed the Dakota Access Pipeline project. This proposed pipeline presents a threat to our lands, our sacred sites, and our water. Current and future generations depend on our rivers and aquifer to live.

Will you stand in solidarity and urge President Obama to reject the Dakota Access Pipeline, once and for all?

Reject the Dakota Access Pipeline and declare this land a cultural district, eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places, to ensure its protection.

Thousands of American Indians, from more than 300 tribes spanning the continent, have joined with us to stand against this violation of our tribe's rights under federal laws and regulations. More than nineteen city and county governments have also joined us to stand in opposition to this pipeline.2

We demand that the construction of this pipeline be stopped before any further damage is done.

While we engage in the long legal process to curtail construction of the pipeline, Dakota Access is still poised to begin construction. Halting the construction was an unprecedented step in response to our powerful movement—and now President Obama must reject the pipeline's permit outright.

Click here to add your name to this petition, and then pass it along to your friends.

The Dakota Access Pipeline jeopardizes the heath of our water and would affect our people, as well as countless communities who live downstream, as the pipeline would cross four states. The pipeline, as designed, would destroy ancient burial grounds, which is a violation of federal law.3

Over the past year, I have spent a great deal of time addressing our tribe's concerns about this pipeline. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has failed to follow the law and has failed to consider the impacts of the pipeline on the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and neighboring communities.

Last month, Dakota Access bulldozed two miles of burial grounds. Their private security sicced dogs on and pepper-sprayed those who tried to protect the site. This company cannot be trusted. Urgent action is needed to prevent Dakota Access from continuing to violate federal laws.4

We demand to be heard, and we will continue to stand together for our nation, and for all who live with and by the Missouri River, until justice is done.

Click here to add your name to this petition, and then pass it along to your friends.

Thank you.

—David Archambault II
Chairman, Standing Rock Sioux Tribe

Three (great) reasons to get on a bus to Pennsylvania

Start the bus engines! History is calling. Ready to help win big on Election Day?

Dear New York MoveOn member,

Start the bus engines!

The most recent state-level polls add up to an astounding conclusion: If we throw absolutely everything we’ve got at this election in the next 13 days, we could put Hillary Clinton in the White House with a Democratic majority in the Senate.1

That’s worth getting on a free MoveOn bus to a critical state like Pennsylvania for a day of get-out-the-vote canvassing, wouldn’t you say?

You can sign up here right now (and you can sign up your family and friends, too!):

Road trip to Pennsylvania

What does winning the White House AND the Senate mean? A future President Clinton could nominate, and the Senate could confirm, one, two, or even three fair, progressive, highly qualified Supreme Court justices, tipping the balance of the Court for a generation. Goodbye, Citizens United. Hello, reproductive freedom, labor protections, affordable health care, racial justice, climate protections, voting rights, LGBT equality, humane immigration policies—you name it, the Supreme Court decides it. And as of right now, it’s all within our grasp.

So we’ve crunched the numbers, consulted our organizers, and devised an ambitious plan to dramatically ramp up our final GOTV operation in states like Pennsylvania that could make or break both the presidential race AND the Senate majority.

That means we need folks like you who live in "safe states" to lend your organizing muscle for a day of door-to-door canvassing, talking with progressive voters who might not vote without your encouragement.

Ready for a road trip to Pennsylvania on a free MoveOn bus? Ready for a fun day of get-out-the-vote canvassing with fellow MoveOn members?

Sign up now for a road trip and a fun day of get-out-the-vote canvassing.

This is our moment. History is calling us all. Eddie, let's give this high-stakes election everything we've got.

Thank you, as always, for coming through when we need each other the most.

And thanks for all you do.

A personal request

It's Manny Herrmann, MoveOn's Online Fundraising Director, and I'm writing you today with a personal request.

Dear MoveOn member,

It's Manny Herrmann, MoveOn's Online Fundraising Director, and I'm writing you today with a personal request. I want to shut down the fundraising team one week from today—but I need your help to do it.

Here's the deal: Right now, we're $563,000 short of our overall goal to fund our voter-turnout program. We can close that gap by asking you for money every other day until Election Day, or, if we can reach that goal quickly, we can dedicate all of our resources—our people-power, email list, social media reach, and more—to recruiting more volunteers, talking to more voters, and winning races up and down ballots across the country.

We're going to reach this goal—one way or another—because we've absolutely got to. Can you chip in so we can reach it in the next week and then dedicate the final days of the election to getting out the vote?

Yes! I'll chip in $2.70, so that the fundraising team can get offline and go knock on some doors!

I'd hate having to send fundraisers until Election Day—instead of shutting down the fundraising team and focusing 100% on reaching voters during the final week of the election.

What makes this extra tough is that I keep seeing polls that show something incredible: If we turn out every progressive vote in the next two weeks, we'll not only beat Trump, but we have a great (and increasing) chance of winning back the Senate too.

Can you help shut down MoveOn's fundraising team ASAP, by helping to close our budget gap?

Yes, I'll chip in $2.70 to help close the budget gap, so MoveOn can send its entire fundraising team to get out the vote as soon as possible.

Look, I know you've had it up to here with fundraising emails. I understand: I've had it up to here with writing them.

As soon as we raise what we need, we will stop fundraising. It's that simple.

Once we're done, you and I can stop staring at our screens and start talking to voters out there in the real world. Because that's how you win elections! Remember, Al Franken won in 2008 by just 312 votes—and this year, as many as eight Senate races could come down to the wire in just the same way.

I know that, with your help, we can stop fundraising very soon. But MoveOn members have to step up today.

You have the power help end MoveOn's fundraising phase, and kick off the final sprint to get out the progressive vote. Will you help?

I'm in. Here's $2.70 to get MoveOn over the finish line.

Thanks for all you do.

[IMPORTANT] Need you to complete this

You signed up to join the MoveOn text team. Will you complete the process by taking the training and signing up for a shift?

Dear Eddie,

Thanks again for joining the MoveOn Text Team. With the final presidential debate behind us and just two weeks out to Election Day, we’re texting tens of thousands of MoveOn members every day to make sure Donald Trump is defeated in a landslide.

But if we're going to keep up with our growing number of events—and recruit members call voters as well—we need to double the number of shifts we had today by Wednesday.

Will you take the final step and finish our Text Team training, then sign up for a shift this week?

Text Team members recruited other MoveOn members in swing states to 325 neighborhood canvasses last weekend—and this weekend, it’ll be nearly 700. Plus, not only are we texting members to get them out to those events to speak face to face with voters—we're also texting members in other states, and inviting them to phone swing voters.

Text message recruitment has become our single best strategy for getting our members out to events. Now that we’re in the final stretch, the work that you do on this team could be essential.

Click here to wrap up the quick Text Team training and sign up for a shift this week.

Trump's predatory and potentially criminal behavior toward women and his fact-free accusations of rampant vote-rigging in "certain areas" (a racist dog whistle for his supporters) are all the more reason to beat him and beat him in a landslide.

We're two weeks away from electing our country’s first ever woman president and putting into the action one of the most progressive Democratic platforms in decades. And a major boost in voter turnout could help us take back the Senate too.

Will you finish the next step today?

Thanks for all you do.

My new movie

I'm terrified. So I made a new movie: "Michael Moore in TrumpLand." It's an hour-long comedy in which I go to Ohio to talk to Trump supporters and undecided voters about why they should join me in voting for Hillary Clinton.

Dear fellow MoveOn member,

I'm terrified.

Despite the craziness of the past few weeks (really, months!) that should have made Donald Trump’s chances of being president laughably low, I believe he can still win. He's ahead in Ohio and Iowa and close in a half dozen other battleground states.1,2 He can still win because his supporters are passionate. And he can still win if all of us are too complacent and don't do EVERYTHING WE CAN DO to stop him, repudiate his politics on Election Day, and hold Republicans up and down the ballot accountable for his toxic campaign.

So I did something—I made a new movie: "Michael Moore in TrumpLand." It's an hour-long comedy in which I go to Ohio to talk to Trump supporters and undecided voters about why they should join me in doing what I didn't think I'd ever do—vote for Hillary Clinton for president!

And now I need you to do something.

Pitch in to MoveOn's United Against Hate campaign—so they can knock on 1 million doors, distribute rapid-response videos online, and throw everything but the kitchen sink into making sure we turn out progressive voters who—like many people I know—just haven't yet committed to voting for Hillary Clinton. Will you help out by chipping in $2.70?

Yes, I'll chip in now.

Look: There are only 15 days left, and we are fighting a creature who is the embodiment of every sexist, racist, and elitist trait rolled into one human being. Donald Trump isn't just bad news. He's an aggressive, erratic, and dangerous bully, who boasts about sexual assault, encourages violence at his rallies, and who is now inciting a mass revolt among his gun-toting followers should he lose.

We must beat him. And we must beat him RESOUNDINGLY.

Please, chip in $2.70 to MoveOn now.

On Election Day, we need to send a loud and clear message that the white supremacists and sexual-assault apologists who have fueled and are encouraged by Trump and his campaign are heading straight for the dustbin of history.

Are you with me on this?

Click here to chip in $2.70, or whatever you can, to MoveOn now.

Onward!

—Michael Moore

P.S. If you want to see my new movie, just click here to get it from iTunes. At my request, they've made it affordable for everyone. Also, MoveOn and I are working together to give voters in swing states more opportunities to see the film. Tell your friends about the movie, and then go knock on some doors or make some calls, for victory on November 8!

My favorite election shirt: Last chance to get it

These are the inspiring items that help support our massive voter turnout effort in battleground states.

Dear MoveOn member,

It’s crazy to think about—but it’s almost Election Day.

That means this is one of your last chances to get limited-edition MoveOn election gear, which is quickly running out of stock. We have shirts, bumper stickers, posters, and more—and they're flying off the shelves! Order fast if you want to get yours before Election Day!

Don’t wait. Check out the store today.

MoveOn election store shirts

Is that not enough to get you to check out the store? Then I’ll sweeten the deal: This week, you can get a 30% discount on orders over $30. Just use discount code NOTRUMP30-30 during check-out on the store.

How can you pass that up? You’re not some Republican still wondering if you support Trump, are you? Paul Ryan...is that you? No? Good, then check out the store.

Okay, you got me—I’ll check out the MoveOn Store today.

MoveOn election store stickers

Wow, you’re still reading this?

Good for you, Eddie, but you gotta quit procrastinating on this sweet deal to get some once-in-an-election MoveOn-branded gear.

Contributions from the store help support our organizers in the field—more than 150 campaigners in the battleground states—who are fighting the good fight and working to help progressives take back the Senate.

That seems like a noble cause to me—plus, you could get a pretty great shirt, sticker, or poster today, all for the price of making a difference in this election.

All right, you win. I’ll check out the store and order something.

Thanks for all you do.

I never thought I’d vote for Clinton

While I was making my new movie, "Michael Moore In TrumpLand," I spoke to many Trump supporters, and I've gotta tell you: They are decisive, organized, and disciplined. They are up at 5 a.m., organizing for their candidate.

Dear fellow MoveOn member,

I just got back from Ohio, where I performed and filmed a one-man show in front of an audience consisting of many undecided voters, third-party voters, former Bernie supporters like me, people who are thinking of not voting—and yes, even Trump supporters, many of whom used to be part of the middle class and are now justifiably angry and thinking of Trump as their means of revenge against a system that has left them behind.

It was clear while I was in Ohio—and it's clear as I sit here at home in Michigan, also a battleground state—that this election could go seriously, seriously wrong, especially if there's low voter turnout. I can’t knock on enough doors to swing the election by myself. Which is why I’m writing you today with a simple request:

Will you chip in $2.70 to help fund MoveOn’s work to turn out voters in key swing states like Ohio?

Yes, I'll chip in now.

While I was making my new movie, "Michael Moore In TrumpLand," I spoke to many Trump supporters, and I’ve gotta tell you: They are decisive, organized, and disciplined. They are up at 5 a.m., organizing for their candidate.

And let’s be honest: For a number of reasons, there are a lot of progressive-leaning voters who aren't yet tuned in or fiercely committed to voting for Hillary Clinton. They might vote, but they need a personal reminder about why this is so important.

And then look at the hurdles that are thrown up to stop poor, Black, and Latino folks from voting. There are longer lines in Democratic-leaning neighborhoods in big cities, and many states have discriminatory voter purges and ID laws. Voter suppression is what our side faces every election.

We can win only if we get out the vote and protect the right to vote. We have to do EVERYTHING WE CAN DO to stop Trump, repudiate his politics on Election Day, and hold Republicans up and down the ballot accountable for his toxic campaign.

And that's what MoveOn is doing, especially in key swing states. Which is why I’m asking you:

Will you chip in $2.70, or whatever you can afford, to help fund MoveOn’s work to turn out voters—and protect the right to vote—in key swing states? Click here right now if you can.

Working hard from now to Election Day is critical—both to keep Trump out of the White House and to take back the Senate.

After meeting so many Trump supporters, I have to tell you quite honestly that Trump could still win the White House. He may win, in part, because so many Hillary supporters—thanks to her stunning victories in the debates and his continued implosions—have now sat back, relieved and confident that the "election is in the bag!" Maybe you feel the same way, or maybe not.

No matter what you think about Clinton's chances right now, our task from now through Election Day is clear: We must turn out voters. Because we need to be absolutely sure that Trump loses. And we need to make sure we get a Democratic Senate—one with Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren leading the way.

Are you with me and MoveOn?

Click here to chip in $2.70, or whatever you can.

Let's make sure we win this. And let's try to win resoundingly—so that we can take back the Senate, send Trump to the dustbin of history, and show other would-be Trumps that America is better than this. Misogyny, racism, and narcissistic greed are being proudly represented on this November ballot by its messianic candidate. Together, let's send a powerful message that their days are over.

Onward!

—Michael Moore

Eddie, we have to keep the political revolution going

Dear MoveOn member,

Bernie Sanders started a political revolution, and I was proud to stand with him. But to take our revolution forward, we need to win big on Election Day. And if we don't win on November 8, we run the risk of playing defense against right-wing policies instead of making real progress.

That's why I'm asking you to join MoveOn's United Against Hate campaign. Together, we'll make sure that progressive voters in key states turn out to defeat Donald Trump, reject his hateful politics, elect Hillary Clinton, and take back the Senate.

Our phone lines are open every day through November 8. Will you join us making these critical calls to swing state voters?

Yes, I can make calls to swing state voters right now.

No, I can't call now but I can sign up for a call shift later.

I was the first candidate Bernie Sanders endorsed this year because he and I are in this fight for the same reasons: to take on our rigged economy, give a hand to the struggling middle class, and fight for justice and equality for all Americans. It was incredible to be part of the political revolution that shook up the political establishment, pushed its agenda into the heart of the Democratic Party platform, and inspired a new generation.

Democrats—from Hillary Clinton to Senate candidates in key states to House candidates across the country—are now running on the most progressive platform in history from a major party. But if we want to see progress on any of the issues we care most about, we need to take back the Senate from right-wing obstructionists. And we certainly need to defeat the abusive bully Donald Trump—and beat him so resoundingly that he can't whine about a "rigged election."

The only way that happens is through an authentic, ambitious get-out-the-vote program like MoveOn's plan to knock on 1 million doors, make hundreds of thousands of phone calls, and have personal conversations with fellow progressives about the stakes in this election.

This will take all of us. Are you in?

Yes, I can make calls to swing state voters right now.

I can't call now, but I can make calls another day.

I won't pretend all our problems will be solved on November 8. I'm in the fight for economic, social, and racial justice for the long haul. But I do know that what happens on November 8 will determine if our movement can make real gains in the years ahead. That's why, like Bernie, I'm doing all I can to make sure we defeat Trump and his Republican enablers, elect our first woman president, and take back the Senate so that Bernie and Elizabeth Warren have strong allies in Washington.

I hope you'll join in and do all you can as well.

In solidarity,

—Lucy Flores

P.S. You can also join our MoveOn Text Team to help recruit other members like you to make calls! Click here to sign up.

Want to support MoveOn's work? Even as Hillary Clinton surges in the polls, “down-ballot Democrats are losing ground,” according to the polling wizards at FiveThirtyEight.com. The chance that Democrats win the Senate is essentially a coin flip. We're organizing thousands of volunteers to go door to door in states with critical Senate races to make sure every progressive votes, up and down the ticket. Can you chip in to help make sure we reach our goal of knocking on one million doors?

Chairman Bernie Sanders

These three words make me almost giddy: Chairman Bernie Sanders. Just think about Bernie taking charge to advance the public option, free college for working families, and expanding Medicare—issues that are now all part of the Democratic platform.

Dear fellow MoveOn member,

These three words make me almost giddy: Chairman Bernie Sanders.

As none other than GOP House Speaker Paul Ryan reminded us last week, if the Democrats win back control of the Senate, Bernie is in line to chair a major committee—most likely the powerful Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.1

That means he'd lead the Senate Democrats' agenda on those issues. Just think about Bernie taking charge to advance the public option, free college for working families, and expanding Medicare—issues that are now all part of the Democratic platform.2

But here's the sobering reality: As Hillary Clinton has gained ground in the polls, Democrats running for the Senate have lost ground.3 What's likely happening is known as "anticipatory balancing"—as Clinton's lead becomes clearer, moderate voters split their ticket as a check on her party's power.

That’s why we need to get every progressive voter in states with tight Senate races—including millennials and Bernie voters—to the polls. MoveOn is running a massive get-out-the-vote operation—exactly the kind of voter turnout program that has proven to make a difference in close races.4

Will you chip in $2.70 now to help Democrats win control of the Senate, so that Bernie becomes a powerful committee chairman?

Yes, I'll chip in now!

A new poll from NBC and The Wall Street Journal finds that—by a 53%–to–40% margin—registered voters say they'd be more likely to support a Republican candidate for Congress who would be a “check and balance” to Clinton over a Democratic candidate who would help Clinton and Democrats pass their agenda.5

We’ve seen what happens when Republicans are in charge of Congress. They stop at nothing to obstruct the agenda of a Democratic president. They’ve done it with President Obama, and they have for more of the same planned for a President Hillary Clinton. Just this week, Senator John McCain said as much, declaring that no Clinton nominee for the Supreme Court would get Republican support.6

Democrats still have a 60% chance of winning the Senate, according to the latest forecast from The New York Times.7 But many of the most competitive races—as in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and New Hampshire—are exceedingly close.8

In these very close races, it's going to come down to turnout. We must do absolutely everything we can to get progressive voters to the polls. But Election Day is only 19 days away, and time is running out. Eddie, will you help out by chipping in $2.70 to MoveOn now?

Yes, I'm in. I'll chip in now.

Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, who’s in line to become the Senate Democratic leader, confirmed this week that Bernie "will chair a significant committee if we win the majority."9

This is our chance to make Bernie the chair of a powerful Senate committee. And we definitely can do it—if we join together, right now, while there’s still time to make a difference in the tightest Senate races.

Click here now to chip in $2.70.

Thanks for all you do.
